Joey and Tubman, two aging chimpanzees were living at a Mole Hall Wildlife Park in Saffron Walden, Essex. The owner had saved them from the laboratory trade but due to ill health he was forced to close the park. Most of the other animals soon found homes, but chimps require more specialised facilities and care.
Cousha and David Wilson of Debden, and their friends, held a party at which they raised the money to pay Joey’s and Tubman's transport costs from Mole Hall to Wales Ape & Monkey Sanctuary.
