Today is International Macaque Day! To this day, thousands of Macaques are tested on in labs everyday in the UK alone. It must stop. Here are a few of our Macaques, some of which we have rescued from labs. They had no names when they arrived, only tattoos on their chests. God knows what they endured in the labs. Here, at the sanctuary, they do not need to worry, they can go outside in the fresh air, they have everything they need and they all have names We love them
0 Our pre-loved vintage clothing & textile shop is open!!
We are so pleased to say our pre-loved vintage clothing & textile shop is now open at the sanctuary on Sundays & Wednesdays :) Jo has been very busy behind the scenes organising, pricing & getting the shop ready. We had our first day open on Sunday 5th Feb and it went really well. There's handbags, shoes, clothing (even 2 wedding dresses!), lots of cushions plus lots more! The vintage shop will be open on Sundays and Wednesdays 11am - 3pm and all proceeds from the shop goes back into our charity.

0 Firewalking raised £2055.11p!!
On Saturday 19th November 2022, two of our staff Rosie and Nicola, walked across red-hot coals to raise funds for our animals! The coals were about 800 degrees by the way!! With your generosity over £2k was raised. Thank you so much! Rosie and Nicola are now looking at ideas for their next fundraiser- maybe it should be a yearly dangerous challenge?! The firewalk did not hurt and was really good fun. The event was at the Ystradgynlais Community Centre in Penrhos, about 3ish miles from the sanctuary. A great organised event. Well done to all xxx
